Real Estate Academy Of Excellence Attendance & Makeup Policy

At the Real Estate Academy of Excellence, we are committed to providing a high-quality real estate education while ensuring compliance with the Georgia Real Estate Commission (GREC) 

requirements. To maintain the integrity of our courses, we have established the following attendance and makeup policy for students enrolled in pre-license, post-license, and continuing education courses.  

1. Pre-License Courses: Students must attend a minimum of 75% of the scheduled 

instructional hours to qualify for course completion and final examination eligibility. 

2. Post-License & Continuing Education Courses: Students must attend 100% of the 

required instructional hours to receive credit for the course. 

3. Tardiness & Early Departures: Students who arrive more than 10 minutes late or leave more than 10 minutes early will be marked absent for that portion of the class. 

● Pre-License Courses: 

○ Students who miss more than the allowable 25% of class time must arrange to make up the missed hours before being eligible to take the final exam. 

○ Makeup sessions must be completed within 90 days of the originally scheduled course end date. 

○ Make-up hours may be completed by: 

■ Attending the same missed session in a future offering of the course 

(subject to availability). 

■ Completing instructor-approved independent study assignments, if 

Applicable. 

● Post-License & Continuing Education Courses: 

○ Because 100% attendance is required, students who miss any portion of the course must make up the exact hours missed. 

○ Make-up sessions may be completed by: 

■ Attending the missed portion in a future session of the course. 

■ Completing an alternative GREC-approved course covering similar topics 

(with prior approval). 

● A nominal administrative fee may apply for rescheduling makeup sessions. 

● All makeup arrangements must be coordinated with the school’s administration in advance. 

● Students who do not meet the attendance and makeup requirements within the allowed 

● timeframe will be required to re-enroll and retake the course in full at their own expense. 

By enrolling in our real estate courses, students acknowledge and agree to abide by this attendance and makeup policy to ensure compliance with Georgia’s real estate education requirements.
